Legal Tech Verband — corporate design and presentation system
A corporate design policy and a dual-theme PowerPoint template for the voice of Germany's legal tech industry.
One written set of rules and 104 slides, so every speaker presents the same association.
Legal Tech Verband Deutschland is the industry body for the digitalisation of the German legal market. It brings together legal tech companies, law firms, startups, in-house legal teams and insurers, and works with policymakers on the rules the industry runs on.
Its people speak constantly: in ministries, on conference stages, in member meetings and across the wider legal tech community. Until now, every one of them built their slides from scratch. Our task was to write the association's corporate design down as one policy and turn it into a PowerPoint template the team runs on its own, on a stage screen and on paper.
Process
From concept to crafted detail.
A look at how the work came together — from early direction to the finished surfaces that ship.

The Challenge
One association, dozens of speakers, no shared system. Each deck was put together by hand from whatever the previous one looked like, so the association looked different in a ministry meeting, at Legal Tech Day and in a member report. The brief was a system that takes those decisions off the speaker: the right logo, the right colour and a ready layout for every slide type.

Corporate design policy · 19 pages
The policy puts the rules in one document: logo versions and the picture mark, event logo variants for Legal Tech Day and Legal Tech Night, the full palette, type hierarchy, number formats, graphic elements, photography rules and application examples. It is written in German, for a German team, and answers the questions before anyone has to ask them.

Dark theme · built for the stage
The dark theme is the association's public face: conference stages, event screens, keynote decks and high-profile industry events. Black grounds, a single magenta accent and event photography that keeps the atmosphere of the room instead of flattening it.

Light theme · built for daylight and paper
Sand and white grounds for reports, member meetings and decks that end up printed. The accents stay the same, dialled down for daylight and paper. Both themes share one set of layouts, so a talk moves from the stage to a handout without being rebuilt.

Layout library · 104 slides
The library was written from the decks the team had already been making by hand: covers, section dividers, agendas, statistics, text grids, cards, team pages, quotes and contacts. 53 slides in the dark theme, 51 in the light one. Every layout is one the team actually uses, not a generic template pack.

Built to be edited
The template is native PowerPoint, built on masters. It has no images of text and no locked artwork, and no step needs a designer. Anyone on the team opens it, picks a layout and fills it in, and the slide stays inside the corporate design.

Design System
A small set of choices, applied with discipline.

Outcome
Legal Tech Verband now has one written corporate design and one template behind every deck, so a keynote at Legal Tech Day and a member report read as the same association. The team builds its own slides without a designer and stays inside the system.
