wetria vs SlideSpeak: two ways to redesign an existing PowerPoint
SlideSpeak and wetria both take an existing deck and work on your own master. The differences are in what "redesign" means, what the template costs and which apps you can export to.

SlideSpeak is the closest tool to wetria: both take an existing deck, both can build on your own slide master and both produce native PowerPoint charts. They differ in what redesign means, in how the template is paid for and in where the deck can go next.
What each one means by redesign
SlideSpeak's Redesign with AI creates, in its own words, a brand-new presentation built from your file's content, with new design, layouts and images. A setting keeps the wording close to the original; with it off, the text is rewritten. It accepts .pptx files only. A separate Import keeps the original design.
wetria splits the job into services. Format keeps your design and only makes it consistent. Adapt to template rebuilds every slide from your master and carries every word and picture over as it is. Design recomposes the content the way a studio designer would. None of them rewrites your text unless you ask.
Side by side
- Input. SlideSpeak: .pptx only for redesign, up to 100 MB. wetria: .pptx or PDF up to 120 MB, plus spreadsheets, fonts, references and source documents.
- Your own template. SlideSpeak builds onto your slide master from a .pptx or .potx as an add-on at $129 per template, on Premium plans and up. wetria includes template reading on every plan; reading a template uses tokens once.
- Charts. Both produce native PowerPoint charts with their data.
- Exports. SlideSpeak: PowerPoint, PDF and Google Slides. wetria: PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Figma and PDF.
- Confidential decks. wetria has Sanitize, which replaces names, logos and every number across slides, notes, charts and file properties. SlideSpeak does not document an equivalent.
- AI assistants. SlideSpeak has an MCP server for Claude and other assistants. wetria does not offer one today.
Data and retention
SlideSpeak states that customer data is never used to train AI models, that it anonymises data before it reaches a model provider and that uploads are kept for 180 days by default. wetria never trains on decks and deletes a task's files 30 days after it finishes.
Price
SlideSpeak lists Free, Premium at $29 to $30 a month and Premium Plus at $34 to $40, priced in credits per slide, with custom templates at $129 each. wetria lists Starter at $26, Pro at $65 and Studio at $130 a month, priced in tokens per deck: about 40 to format, 71 to move onto a template and 86 to redesign.
Which to choose
If you want a fresh deck generated from an old one, with new images, and you work in PowerPoint or Google Slides, SlideSpeak is a reasonable fit, especially from inside Claude. If you want your deck back as your deck, on your master, with nothing rewritten, a slide-by-slide check, and Keynote or Figma as options, wetria fits better.
