The best AI tools to redesign an existing PowerPoint deck in 2026
Most AI presentation tools are built to generate. Eight tools compared on the job that matters for business decks: taking the deck you have and making it right, on your template.

If you already have a deck, the useful question is not which tool generates the prettiest slides. It is which one can take your file, keep your words, put it on your company template and hand back something your team can keep editing. On that question the field narrows to a few tools, and they solve different parts of it.
We make wetria, so read this with that in mind. We have tried to be fair: every fact below comes from the vendor's own pages, and where a vendor does not document something we say so instead of guessing.
Four questions that decide it
- Does it start from your existing .pptx or PDF, or from a prompt?
- Does it use your company master (layouts, chart colours, type scale), or only your colours, fonts and logo?
- Does the export stay editable, with live charts, in the app your team uses?
- What happens to your deck: is it used for training, and how long is it kept?
Microsoft Copilot in PowerPoint
The strongest option for "use our own template" if you are on Microsoft 365 with Copilot licences. Brand Kits accept .pptx and .potx, and since June 2026 Copilot can restyle an existing deck using a reference presentation. It works prompt by prompt inside PowerPoint, does not change font or placeholder sizes when applying a brand, and is PowerPoint only. Microsoft 365 Copilot is listed at $30 per user per month, paid yearly. More in wetria vs Copilot.
SlideSpeak
The closest to a redesign service. It turns a .pptx into a new deck with new layouts and images, optionally keeping your wording, builds on your own master for $129 per template, and exports native charts to PowerPoint, PDF and Google Slides. Data is kept 180 days by default and not used for training. More in wetria vs SlideSpeak.
Gamma
Built to create decks, documents and sites from ideas. Gamma 5 imports PowerPoint and PDF and can keep the original layout. Its theme import takes colours, fonts and logo; its help says slide masters export blank and Google Sheets charts export as images. On individual plans content may be used for training unless you opt out. It has official Claude and ChatGPT connectors. More in wetria vs Gamma.
Plus AI
Works inside Google Slides and PowerPoint. Its Remix mode reformats an uploaded deck into Plus's own templates, up to 30 slides at a time, and its guide says it cannot extract images, diagrams or charts from the uploaded file. The pricing page reserves your own slide master for Enterprise, while its October 2026 MCP announcement describes uploading a template on Pro. Plans run from $10 to $200 per user per month, billed annually.
Beautiful.ai
A presentation app built around its own Smart Slides and, since September 2026, Brand Kits. You can import PowerPoint slides into it and export editable PowerPoint and Google Slides on paid plans. Its documentation does not describe redesigning imported slides or building on your own master. Pro is $14.50 a month billed annually.
Canva
Imports PowerPoint as a beta feature. Its own help page says charts, SmartArt, 3D objects and WordArt are not supported and are ignored on import, and that PPTX downloads may look different in PowerPoint. Strong for visual content and brand kits, weaker for data-heavy business decks.
Pitch
A collaborative presentation workspace. Importing a .pptx drops custom fonts and headers and footers and accepts 16:9 only, and PowerPoint export can fall back to Calibri. It has an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT and an agent that builds new decks from your templates.
Presentations.AI
A generator first. It pulls your logo, fonts and colours from your website URL and exports editable .pptx. Redesigning an existing deck appears on a converter tool page rather than as a documented workflow. Pro is $20 a month billed annually.
wetria
Built only for decks that already exist. Four services: Format keeps your design and makes it consistent, Adapt to template rebuilds every slide from your master, Design recomposes the content, Sanitize makes a deck safe to show. Every word is kept, every slide is checked against the original, and the result exports to PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides and Figma, with live charts in PowerPoint and Keynote. Decks never train any model and files are deleted after 30 days. Plans from $26 a month; a new account gets 100 free tokens. It has no Claude or ChatGPT connector today. More in what is wetria.
Which one to pick
- Your company runs on Microsoft 365 with Copilot and a Brand Kit: start with Copilot.
- You want a new-looking deck generated from an old one: SlideSpeak or Gamma.
- You want your deck back on your master, words kept, checked, for any of the four apps: wetria.
- The deck needs a new story, not new slides: a designer. See AI presentation tools vs a design agency.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI tool can redesign an existing PowerPoint?
Copilot in PowerPoint, SlideSpeak, Plus AI, Gamma and wetria all take an existing deck. They differ on whether they use your company master, keep your text and keep charts editable.
Which AI presentation tools use my company template?
Copilot (Brand Kits from .pptx or .potx), SlideSpeak (custom template add-on), Plus AI (Enterprise, or via its MCP) and wetria (every plan). Gamma, Beautiful.ai and Canva use brand colours, fonts and logos rather than your master.
Which tools export to Keynote?
Of the tools compared, wetria is the only one that documents native Keynote and Figma export.
Are these tools safe for confidential decks?
Policies differ. Microsoft, SlideSpeak and wetria state that content is not used for training; Gamma's individual plans allow it by default. wetria also offers Sanitize, which replaces names, logos and numbers before a deck is shared.
